Room 37

37 - Dining Room This room is nearly filled with tables, neatly covered in white tablecloths and surrounded with spindly wooden chairs. The door to the north is saloon-style, it swings right open - the door to the south is ash, closed, lockable, but currently unlocked. The doorknob is brass. This room is absolutely surreal – when anyone enters, they hear soft music, that seems to emanate from somewhere – but no visible source can be found. It is magically induced. On entering, each player must save vs magic or be affected by a strong desire to sit and wait for food, – here is the problem – NOBODY IS COMING WITH FOOD, as the kitchens are empty of workers and the whole place is in disarray. So that is why there are so many skeletal bodies sitting in the chairs around the room, waiting for a meal that never came. Each one is a "I Search the body" roll, and there are 1d20+15 corpses in the room. Each hour that passes the affected PCs ma...

The door to the northwest is closed but not locked, and is oak decorated with grapes and swords with a brass doorknob. The door to the south has been taken off the hinges, and is somewhere else. Godgyfu uses this room for storage, and writing letters. She has a small spindly desk and a red loveseat, from which she pens letters in many inks – and sends them when able, through anybody willing to take mail for pay. There is a small cabinet, with three drawers – bottom with 8 silver ingots, middle with 50 gold coins, and top with several (1d20) gems, each at 1d100 GP value. She uses these to pay or bargain. There is a wooden cabinet filled with old letters – and records.   There is a bookshelf filled with books of all kinds of subjects, she reads quite a lot. There is a large table with a opena...

35 – Kitchen The door to the east is saloon-style, it swings right open, the door to the south is also this saloon-style door. The door to the north is closed and locked- bronze doorknob and door of oak. There is a large series of clay ovens alongside the west wall, burnt out and cold – There is a large table towards the north of the room, with many cuts and burns, obviously used for preparing food. This room feels like it once contained more things, but they have been taken – the room feels strangely empty. There is abstract decorations on the walls, but they are faded and old – though strange. If the players examine them long enough, they might be able to realize that it is a dining order – a sequence of tables and who goes where. The room is roughly 25X25 feet, with each hallways/passage in and out is around 5 feet wide.

There is one old cot up against a corner, two basins full of very old and dry and rot covered dishes, the water long since evaporated. There is a small blackened clay hearth, bricks cracked and fire long burnt out. There is a bag that used to contain onions, and one that contained potatoes – now they are reduced to a black smear of goop, staining the burlap sack. There are several burnt out candles and evidence of where the candles were moved over time. Huddled in a corner of the room is a black and grey body, mummified and dry – it is wearing a blue dress. If examined very closely, it is obviously not a woman, or even a child – maybe not even a person, though it is certainly organic. ...

There is a broken butter churn under the dairy table – and a rusted cleaver embedded in the meat table.
