Cavern 21

Image
Cavern 21 This cave has one large chamber and passages that branch off it to the right and up and down. three entrances and one exit mean this cave is also narrow and could be a choke point in a conflict. If there is water or peoples, they are all gonna go through one narrow passage. It is 369 feet of vertical height. This edit adds more textured/unusual stone formations. To hide rats, bugs, fungus, lichens, moss, snakes, treasure, ropes, handholds, bones, pitons and other climbing gear...

Cavern 20!

Image
Cavern 20 Two or three chambers connected by a single long shafts and off-shafts are what characterize many caverns, but this one has some interesting passageways to the left, and the singled out shafts like the one on the top left and the smaller on on the right make this slightly interesting. This could be a simple vertical abseil down, but investigating the cavern/mapping it out could be more complex, and this would make it a great middle cavern, or a cavern between larger chambers. It is 660 ft in vertical height. The edit changes the surrounding stone, and fills the actual cavern with coal. A gigantic coal vein, and a tunneled burrow between the chalky, squeaky, sooty, and cloying coal-vein.  What creature would tunnel/burrow through coal? If the players go through they may find out, and in the process they will get covered in coal dust. Face masks may be important to not get a temporary cough. Also any flame is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS. if this were to be set alight, everything abov

Cavern 19

Cavern 19 With a vertical height of about 245 ft, this cavern is a great mixture of height, passages, chambers, and interesting stops and turns. This edit adds gridlines and a climber for size reference.

Cavern 18

Image
Cavern 18 An interesting cavern, with a large series of two or three chambers in downward fashion. There are two shafts to the right and left, and all over the left side of the passages is down and left facing shafts that dead end.  At the bottom, in the smallest chamber, is one shafts that appears to continue, and the main entrances above to the top chamber are thin on the left and larger on the right, with four entrance shafts in total. In vertical height this cavern measures about 209 ft. The edited version has magmatic or geothermic activity, and gets hotter the further down you go. This brings unique characteristics, such as the ability to gather flame, igneous rocks, rarer minerals and stone, different biota, and of course the ability to bake bread and heat water, if you can get in and out of the sweltering heat. It is also home to a creature! Here are its stats! (In LOTFP)   Periwinkle Clinker   8’ snail with Purple flames dancing around its shell. Makes sounds like plinking c

Cavern 17

Image
Cavern 17 This cavern has seven chambers, and one is disconnected from the rest of the passages and shafts. This would likely be the top of a cave, with five shafts down and none going up. Total vertical height is about 295 feet. This edit is flipped vertically to be the bottom of a cavern, and has a lot of water (Sumps). It also has a brave diver and many red fish.  Red fish is from Elisa Fiore on http://www.publicdomainfiles.com/show_file.php?id=13955401223951

Cavern 16

Image
Cavern 16 This cavern is characterized by upward shafts and a large upward chamber in it's midst. it appears to be upward because of the teardrop dead-ends going up. It is only 110 ft in vertical height. It would be a great break/rest area if the party likes getting ambushed. This is mostly a connecting cave. I went crazy on this edit, which is why this post is later than usual. Here is Castle Cainan, a Stalactite castle. Lots of people could be supported, and quests or living quarters might be arranged. There would undoubtedly be huge amounts of creatures/factions vying for control. It is high up, and would require extremely good climbing to reach, and undoubtedly there might be secret passages and tunnels above that lead to different parts of the cave. Ropes light also be lowerable to hoist supplies or people. There are openings which are guarded by archers, or slingers, or javaliners or spear throwers. There are living quarters and much more, and this place is a great place for

Cavern 15

Image
Cavern 15 This cave has two shafts up and one shaft down, and is largely just those passages, with a couple intercessor hallways. A steep vertical climb or abseil would be required to traverse this cavern. 389 feet of nearly no stops or holds to climb up the slick walls, or to abseil down. The two shelves that break up the vertical height will be very important for spelunkers. There are offshoots as well, so a total of four stopping points for the total vertical height. This edit adds a Blue grid to help measure distances and lighting.

Cavern 14

Image
Cavern 14 This cavern has 4 shafts up and one near impossible squeeze in the singe shaft out and up alongside a gigantic open shaft that is much easier to access. There are multiple reverse-teardrop shaped chambers that terminate the shafts, and passages that connect them. It is about 233 vertical feet of height.      This edit has a TREASURE chest. It has also been flipped vertically. Here are some treasure possibilities.      LOOT TABLE (FOR EXP PURPOSES/END OF QUEST) (1D100/2) Or (Just make a second half that is the first half again to get to 100)   1.             140 Coins 2.             230 Coins 3.             110 Coins 4.             200 Coins 5.             260 Coins 6.             2200 Crystal Sphere 7.             300 Coins 8.             200 Coins 9.             1500 Gold Cup 10.          3800 Gem Pouch 11.          3200 Gem Pouch 12.          4500 Ruby 13.          280 Coins 14.          240 Coins 15.          140 Coins 16.          3800
