Room 230

Image
230 – Bubbling Mud, Mudmen The doorknob is silver plated – and locked - with three locks. This room is filled about 5 inches deep with a thick bubbling mud – this reduces movement speed - there are 15 " I search the body " table results in the mud, but it takes successful search rolls to find one, each failure means that there is one less thing to find - and searching the muck takes about 1D8 minutes each search. in addition, a mudman will emerge from the muck once every ten minutes - and each time a mudman emerges the previous one will dissolve into a patch of mud that is 5X5 wide Mudman HD  1 HP  6 Speed  90' Armor  10 Morale  5 Attack  Will slap mud on you - which reduces your initiative rolls by one for each slap of mud (They stack!) The mud can be cleaned off of course. The room is roughly 35X25 feet, each hallways/passage in and out is around 5 feet wide.

The doorknob is silver plated – and locked - with three locks. this curious chamber looks like a library at first glance – the walls are lined with shelves and there are islands of shelves in the chamber as well – but confusingly – instead of books – the shelves are piled heavily with hundreds and hundreds of spheres – moons from the size of a head down to the size of an apple. They are engraved with tiny writing - books and books written on tiny moons. they may be a result of the spell Moon in the Man. Example books generated: The Eighteenth Orbit, Eyeless Wailing Cutout The Goddess Vectors and Paltry Redness The Dark Wailing: Before Hands Wild Stillness The Sideways Cloud: Below Permissible Reality Commiserations Pale – Floating in the end, sour personage Because You are Cursed etc The room is roughly 25X35 feet, each hallways/

Lullaby

Image
Lullaby by The Dixie Chicks!    The VaM-style spell today is Lullaby - the title coming from this  song  by The Chicks. There was some really weird times in my life when I listened to this song a lot - I would go to class, work for a while - then I would invariably leave. I would make sure I had my keycard - I would make sure I had my phone and headphones - and then I'd walk out of class - passing the bathroom and other classes. I'd walk to the dumpsters and look through them - taking whatever I could use - or thought was interesting. I would walk around the side of the building - past a ditch - away from the parking lot - towards the street. I would cross - and walk between two churches - wind in the trees. There was a continuation of this ditch - which had a bridge - and I would stand on the bridge. Then I'd check the church dumpsters for treasure - then keep walking. I would listen to music this whole time - and a couple songs stand out as always being part of this. So t

Magical Masks!

So in the Unofficial Lamentations of the Flame Princess, I have to deal with total idiots sometimes - and one of them was yammering and being generally annoying - so I just typed :  "ok cool so I don't need to read any of that Lets make up some magical masks instead" Here is a little detail from Kelvin Green ! "Masks were popular in Paris in 1630, according to my research (for Terror in the Streets), but they tended to be functional (protecting the face from the elements) rather than decorative. The famous masks of Venice were in use since the 1200s at least. So there's precedent for mask-wearing in at least some parts of LotFP Europe." here are what people came up with! Becami (Me!) Elk (+1 DEX), Crocodile (+1 CON), Ghoulish (+1 WIS), Devil (Gain 1 Random level one spell a day), Pignosed Man (+1 STR), Leaf-Face (+1 INT), Beetle (+2 AC), Smiling Sun(+1 CHA). These are hidden among hundreds of nonmagical masks in a hall of masks. Bat Mask : Allows the weare
