232- Black Cups

This room’s door to the west is ash, and burned heavily on the inside of the room.

The doorknob is silver plated – and locked.

This room’s door to the north is ash, and burned heavily on the inside of the room.

The doorknob is silver plated – and locked.

This room’s door to the south is ash, and burned heavily on the inside of the room.

The doorknob is silver plated – and locked.

This room’s door to the east is ash, and burned heavily on the inside of the room.

The doorknob is silver plated – and locked.

Inside the room is a heavily burned table – barely standing.

On it sits two black cups (see picture).

If a cup is touched – a horrible thing happens – the toucher goes into a deep and dangerous depression – the cups link people you see – and the other cup was last touched by somebody has died.

The cups, if touched by two different people after this, allow each person to know that the other person is alive. They may exchange thoughts as per the spell Message – and in general, will be predisposed to care about one another.

But in this case, the cup was linked to someone who is currently dead – and so the loss is immediate and terrible – the pent up longing of the other toucher lingered in the material world, so it is years and years of loss and grief beamed immediately into the toucher.

The room is roughly 15X25 feet, each hallways/passage in and out is around 5 feet wide.
