“WHAT’S A HAUNTED HOUSE?” 1/4~5 - TBD
Below the water lies a land
A land of lost and sunken
Below the depths lies a house
Full of worthless plunder
The ocean brims with long-lost things
And fish that swim around
Never ever go down there
You just might no be found
Valter Verdrink
A room of warped wood
With light coming in
Waving like water
Moving like wind
A corpse leers in the corner
Light plays on it’s face
Seawater seeps in
And floods the whole place

BELOW TO BE RESKINNED AND RETOOOLED
~Garden~ There is a clothesline leading from the attic to the tree, this is for a later puzzle which gets you the Coin from the magpie nest. Next to the potted plants in the moonlight there is a small Toy Elephant.
~B1~ Laundry Room There is A small bottle of Teatree Oil on the empty shelf above the washer and dryer. In the washer is an old pair of jeans, and in the pocket, there is the Safe Key.
~B2~ Pantry Inside the pantry is rotting food and a swarm of bugs, if you linger you will begin to take damage. On an empty Shelf is a Vial of Salt, the rest of food is spoilt and useless.
~B3~ Dusty Room When this room is vacuumed there is a scratched diagram of the attic, which shows the location of several items on the floor.
~B4~ Pipe Room This rooms many pipes and accompanying wrenches control the water throughout the house. Next to the door is the Vacuum.
~B5~ Electrical Room This rooms power breaker and wiring box are used to power the house with electricity, and the breaker needs a Fuse. The Z key is in wire box. There are many sections among the floors, and only some can be powered at any point, so choose wisely and change the fuses when you need power somewhere new.
~F1~ Kitchen with Dumbwaiter Inside the broken dumbwaiter is Gramophone Horn. The dumbwaiter is fixed by finding the Dumbwaiter Wheel in the Sitting room in the attic. There is the Lantern on the counter and oil bucket in kitchen, which can be used to fill the Lantern for light and used to fill the Flask for a portable refill for the Lantern. In the sink is the Bucket, which is used to transport water throughout the house.
~F2~ Bathroom with Closet The Pharaoh’s Eye is in a hidden compartment in a dresser in the closet.
~F3~ Guest Room The Tank Lid is underneath the bed, and on the dresser sits the Tetrahedron under a doily, this room plays a familiar music when you enter, but this has no gameplay effect.
~F4~ Study There are many readable notes from your uncle, ranging from mundane to downright strange. In Thoughts in the Erstwhile June Days, you will find notes on the creation of several of the more unusual rooms in this house. There is a Mask nailed up on the wall, and there is a Seal on a letter, which when read denounces the person who unseals it and plays menacing music for a duration of time.
~F5~ Small Bathroom This room is dappled with moonlight and swept with breezes, the window is broken! Searching the broken glass locates the culprit, a Baseball thrown by local hooligans after your uncle’s disappearance.
~F6~ Parlor Room This room is filled with tables with partially played games and boxes and books on games and how to play them. The Go puzzle gives the Small Key, the 4 Dice puzzle gives the Golden Idol, and finally the Rummikub puzzle gives a letter from your Uncle congratulating you.
~F7~ Indoor Courtyard This area is surreal, with walls and ceiling painted to give the illusion that there are windows in the surrounding rooms looking into the courtyard, with each room having people and details completely different than the actual room. Some details are clues, however strange they seem. The ceiling is painted to look like the night sky, the ground dirt and mossy stones, and a small sickly tree is planted in a recess in the center of the room.
~F8~ Sunroom The Floor Rug is here on the floor, covering up a suspicious stain on the otherwise clean floor, and the Fragment Mask is on the wall facing out the large moonlit windows. This room is referenced in the Moon Room in the Attic, where the scrawled note on the wall details a dream Robert had of being stalked in these rooms by a doppelganger of himself outside, who knocked and cajoled, begging to be allowed in. If the player spends more than 8 minutes idle in this room, they will fall asleep and have a similar dream sequence.
~S1~ Master Bedroom There are Go Pieces under each pillow, and a safe in the closet, which is unlocked with the Safe Key, and is empty!
~S2~ Bathroom with Closet Inside a small chest is an Heirloom Ring and a Signet Ring. The music here is slightly different.
~S3~ Dining Room There is a Plate on the table and a Jester’s Mask on wall. The vent on the wall can be opened with the coin for a hiding place and a passage to the Breezy Room.
~S4~ Breezy Room This room is strangely windy and is filled with openings to almost all the soffits and breezeways of the house. Because of this the room is filled with cold winds and strange rustles and creaks. A piece of red Lino Paper flutters around in breeze and must be chased around to be caught.
~S5~ Painted Chamber This room is covered in paintings, both in frames and on the walls, the small bed, the bedside table, even the lightbulbs! There are many kinds of paints and brushes scattered around the room, and the Halo Amulet is in glass of water on the furthest table from the door. The paintings depict some sort of procession of people moving towards fissure in the side of a mountain.
~S6~ Broken Furniture Room This room is filled with the remains of a sofa, several crushed chairs and broken lamps, alongside many pieces of broken wood furniture beyond recognition. The jade idol is under a pile pf table legs. There are bite marks on some of the wood…
~S7~ Mirrored Chamber This room is covered wall to wall with mirrors, giving a strange depth to the otherwise empty room. A Marble is on the floor and causes the player to slip into the next room, the Records chamber.
~S8~ Indoor Park Room This small room is filled with artificial grass and is painted to look like a summer day in a park. There is an old cast-iron bench in the middle, with a book, The Dark Interval open on it. There is a Rummikub Tile stuck between the slats on the bench.
~S9~ Library This room is one of the most complicated and interesting, with wall to wall shelves filled with a myriad of books ranging greatly in subject. From poetry to letters to nonfiction, the collection of Robert Edvige is informative and flavorful. There are scattered notes and photographs, postcards and letters to family and friends. There are photo collections and a Puzzle Box up on high shelf and a Seed Curio in fake book. One of the books triggers a rotating shelf and the other side is filled with more rare and strange books, some quite obviously hidden for a reason. There is over 400 books in here, and all are readable, if some rather short. The budget for this game was spent largely in cultivating and writing these many books, and a majority of the context for the rest of the house is found here, with much of the mystery being solved with hints clues and writings all housed therein.
~S10~ Records Room This room has an empty Cardboard Box in the middle of the floor, and a Safe Key on useless keyring hung up on the wall. Most of this room is phone records and taxes, shipping records and the like, quite dry, but with reference to the library some details can be gleaned. The main detail gathered from this room is that Robert was a storied person who spent a fortune on whims and seemingly had a long affair with shipping and communicating in strange or nonstandard fashions.
~S11~ Hole Up Room This room is strewn with various pieces of detritus and what looks like half of the ceiling, mostly because the chamber above has collapsed into this room, and the storage boxes that were housed above have spilled onto the ground. A badge is in old junk box and is one of the only objects of note in the completely wrecked chamber.
~S12~ Filled with Newspapers This room is filled to the coining in a maze of stacked and dated newspapers, from about 1919 until somewhere around 3 weeks ago. Seems someone collected them all here after perusal. A Die is lost in the corner of the room amongst the dust and clutter.
~A1~ Sitting Room This small room has two sofa’s and a sitting chair, alongside these are two small coffee tables, one decorated with a Bust of Gahan. One important detail is the Dumbwaiter Wheel used as coffee table!
~A2~ Moon Room This strangely lit room has a scrawled message on the wall detailing a disturbing dream. If the player idles for more than 8 minutes, they have the same dream they have in the sunroom, except they are the one trying to get in from the outside of the window. There is a Curio in a basket on the floor, and a Shell Badge on the mannequin currently looming very close to the moonlit window, looking out across the sweeping lawn.
~A3~ Figure Filled Room This disturbing room is full of humanoid figures, from dolls to toys, idols and statues. The music is very different in here, and the many eyes seem to follow you in the dark figure filled room… The Baby, Small Idol, Puppet, and Wooden Doll are among the crowd.
~A4~ Sound Chamber This room is filled with pipes coming from every wall at every angle. After some inspection it becomes obvious that these pipes lead to vents in many of the rooms, magnifying the noises from the accompanying rooms so that whoever sat in the chair in the middle of this room could hear it. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, almost nowhere publicly used was safe from being overheard. What if someone was here earlier? The Portrait Gear and a Turtle Bead and Blue Bead are attached to a charm bracelet sitting on the ground beneath the chair. From this room you can hear if one of the wandering things interacts or moves through or into a room. This room is undoubtedly one of the most unnerving and spooky rooms, with sounds from it not only scaring you, but worse wondering if your sounds let your presence be known.
~A5~ Workshop This room has a workbench covered in tools and diagrams of some of Robert’s projects throughout the house. There is a Flask, which is used to hold an additional charge of oil for the Lantern and an additional Fuse for the Breaker in the basement.
~Roof~ The rooftop is gabled and balconied, with a dry fountain and a stunning view of the moon dappled landscape surrounding the house. An Arrow Charm is on weathervane and points you to pertinent items in rooms. A Wire Ball on string hangs from the balcony, evidently forgotten when it was left to dry.
