The caster drags dread around behind them like a dead deer on a sledge.

Their mere presence tests retainer’s morale,

lower level NPCs will avoid speaking to them,

all rolls they make are at -1,

they have restless sleep,

and animals fear and flee them.

And when the time comes,

for each five days day the dread has been dragged, the dread becomes a creature which has hit dice and attacks equal to a creature of the same proportional size.

It obeys the caster. It lives until killed.

The caster chooses it’s form, but it has no innate powers beyond stats.
