Royal Walls
Royal Walls by Black Marble
The VaM-style spell today is Royal Walls- the title coming from this song by Black Marble.
I love Black Marble - I have listened to all the albums while walking, and each of the four will get their own spell!
I highly recommend A Different Arrangement, It's Immaterial, Bigger Than Life, Fast Idol - They are all fantastic albums!

Here are the lyrics!
Don't you know what he said?
For you know what I know,
Boys dont change
Morning dear workers,
Hiding from mercy
Strung out and searching,
All the rage
You're fighting the ways of the long law, wishing the old sky young
Everything is burning
Well you know what I know,
Times dont change
Morning at service,
Hiding from Mercy
Forever searching,
All your days
You're fighting the ways of the long law, wishing the old sky young
On the gabardine wall, they kept you in line like nobody else did
I don't want to argue, mix up or misunderstand
Somehow
Don't you know what he said?
Well you know what I know,
Boys dont change
Morning dear workers,
Hiding from mercy
Strung out and searching,
All the rage
Your fighting the ways of the long law, wishing the old sky young
On the gabardine wall, they kept you in line like nobody else did
I don't want to argue, mix up or misunderstand
Somehow
You find me down under, searching under the royal walls
Royal Walls
Duration: 2 Rounds per caster’s level
Range: Line of Sight
A 5X5 foot square of castle walls is erected around the caster or a target in line of sight.
The walls are 7 feet high, two feet thick – Made of the closest castle’s stone – and are old and regal.
The person with the walls around them may cast Command at will.
The walls move as the person inside them moves, like a cat in a cardboard box.
Miscast Table
1 – The walls slowly close onto the person inside, if more than three rounds pass with them still inside the walls, they are crushed.
2 – Dark clouds loom overhead, and rain pours down – lightning flashes overhead. Instead of the nearest castle, the walls erected were of the nearest cloud giant’s keep – and they are coming to reprimand you for their use. The rain and thunder and lightning persist until the giant is somehow avoided or killed.
3 – The commands echo from inside the walls, the targets of the commands are randomly chosen.
4 – The person inside the walls are changed when they recede – they now believe themselves to be of royal blood – and must demand royal treatment. The player or creature must now act royal – if they are a player, they may be given experience for playing this new side of their character well.
5 – The walls extend into a tower, impossibly high and growing ever taller – by the end, the tower will be substantial, and the target will be trapped at the bottom. This is a small dungeon tower, full of traps and monsters and potentially treasure, and the target must go up to get out. It is permanent until dispelled.
6 – Whoops! The caster has somehow accidentally cast Maze instead!
7 – Whoops! The caster has somehow accidentally cast Wall of Fog, Fire, Ice, Force, Iron or Stone – Roll a 1D6 and the square of walls is made out of that instead of castle walls.
8 – When the walls recede, instead of the target being there, it is the nearest king – who has swapped places with the target or caster.
9 – When the walls recede, instead of the target being there, it is the nearest Queen – who has swapped places with the target or caster.
10 – The walls look like they are stone, but in reality they are paper thin – this is evident on a single hit or touch of the walls.
11 – When the spell recedes, the target or caster goes with it – appearing in some quiet corridor of the castle the walls came from.
12 – The walls stay where they were when the spell ends – the structure remains until destroyed or dispelled – the castle they came from will have damage somewhere.
