Penny Candy

 Penny Candy by Kidstreet

The VaM-style spell today is Penny Candy- the title coming from this song by Kidstreet.

I love love love Kidstreet - and only just found out that they have some other music!

Fuh Yeah! is a great album, all the songs are great - I am constantly listening to the whole album, and I highly recommend it!

Standouts are Song, which is unbelievably beautiful - Fuh Yeah, which makes me want to jump around - Nineteen Ninety Three, which is indescribable - Birthday Boy, so chaotic, so catchy - And of course, Penny Candy, so danceable and wonderful, I love the video so much, it introduced me to Kidstreet!

C, A, N
D, going, Y, gone!

Going to the corner store to buy some penny candies
I'm gonna buy myself some lucky one cent jelly gummies
Going to the corner store to buy some penny candies
Going, going, going, gone! (x8)

I think it was
Ten years later (x4)

And now I'm going to the store to buy some penny cigarillos
I think it was
Ten years later (x4)

C, A, N, D, Y
C, A, N, D, Y

Going to the corner store to buy some penny candies
I'm gonna buy myself some lucky one cent jelly gummies
Going to the corner store to buy some penny candies
Going, going, going, gone! (x4)

I think we're gonna speed it up a little now
Hey Lous, hey Cliff, how do you feel about speeding it up a little?

Going to the corner store to buy some penny candies
I'm gonna buy myself some lucky one cent jelly gummies
Going to the corner store to buy some penny candies
Going, going, going, gone! (x4)

Ok, here is the spell's effects!

Penny Candy

Duration: Instantaneous

Range: Line of Sight

The caster targets a person, object, or section of material in line of sight – and swaps that target with an equivalent amount of copper.

The copper must be in contact with the caster’s bare skin for the spell to function properly – but can still be cast even if the copper is still within the caster’s line of sight – but the spell will automatically miscast.

Excess copper stays where it was, but the amount of copper must match or exceed the target’s weight for the spell to function.

Miscast Table

1 – Only part of the copper gets registered by the spell – as a result, only some of the targeted thing gets swapped. Depending on what the target was, this may have very terrible consequences.

2 – The spell works as normal, but in 1D4 rounds it reverses.

3 – The spell also strips all the copper out of the caster’s blood – killing them instantly.

4 – Once the caster is not maintaining line of sight on their swapped target – it swaps back.

5 – The spell moves an unexpected amount of air – knocking everyone within 50’’ prone at both swap locations.

6 – The target becomes made of candy once swapped with copper. Ref picks the candy composition.

7 – The spell is delayed – and will take effect in 1D4 rounds after the spell is cast, or one hour if not in combat.

8The spell releases crackling bolts of bright pink and blue lightning – which crack loudly – triggering a random encounter.

9Instead of swapping the copper for the target, the caster is just teleported to the target.

10Anything between the target and the copper is atomized.

11The copper is permanently altered – anytime the copper is touched by someone, the spell is reversed – this only works as normal if the copper is one solid piece.

12The spell takes a strange turn, instead of swapping, the target is converted into solid copper, and the copper becomes the material that took up the most mass of the target.
