Room 7
7- Resting Room
This room has two beds on bed-frames, with goose-down mattresses, rooster feather pillows, sheets, blankets, and bed warmers.
Next to each bed is a chamber pot.
It is all clean, and seemingly unused – though dusty.
Under the right bed is a seemingly empty journal – if held over heat or a weak flame, the maze-lemon juice writing will appear, and can be heated over and over unlike usual lemon juice - it is a spell book, containing the following spells.
~ Bookspeak, Unseen Servant, Acumen, Mirror Image, Detect Metal, Fly, Pocket, Shoal
The door to the south-east is open, made of ash, and the doorknob is missing.
The door to the south-west is open, made of ash, and has a cast iron doorknob.
Close inspection of canopy above the left bed frame reveals a stash of “supplies”, a tin containing dried ginger, a really old bar of chocolate wrapped in paper, two bottles of wine, a couple candles, a few children’s books, a small bag containing a bar of soap – a towel – and a wooden toy boat, and lastly a wooden sword. An easy way to clue them in if they inspect just the bed frame from inside it or on the bed, is to tell the players that the canopy is sagging on the left bed frame.
The room is roughly 15X27 feet, each hallways/passage in and out is around 5 feet wide.
