Room 2

2- A Kitchen

A cabinet filled room, with a small island counter in the center. The cabinets are surrounding the island and are along all the walls- with particularly large cabinets in the southeastern corner.

The doorway to the west is missing its door. The doorway to the east still has a door- it is of simple oak, and is unlocked- the doorknob has a keyhole, and is made of brass. The doorway to the south is missing its door.

It seems that the place has been emptied of any foodstuff long ago however, as inspection of almost all of the cabinets will reveal a lack of any comestibles.

All that remains edible is in a cabinet filled with spices in small ceramic jars, from which players can make a Search roll for a particular spice, with success indicating they find it, failure just means it isn't there. There are only 20 searches allowed in this cabinet.

There is also one cabinet that contains a small vase containing three wooden spoons and an old cleaver- and one other nearby cabinet contains a small group of cookbooks, which are old and obviously used. There are notes in the margins that edit the recipes, and the whole set of eight books is worth 5 GP to anyone familiar with cookbooks in a civilized area – the authors are varied and well known, and the books all have “Property of Eileen” scrawled in blue ink on their inside covers.

General inspection, essentially as the players look around and ask questions, will reveal that there is quite a few onion skins around, which scurry around as they players move the air.

Careful inspection of the floor in Room 2 will reveal that there likely used to be a basin – there is a patch that is less weathered and dusty on the north side of the island counter.

The room is roughly 15X22 feet, each hallways/passage in and out is around 5 feet wide.
