Bulwark- Creates a tower shield in the casters hand. Its dimensions 4 1/2 feet high, 1 1/2 feet wide, and is made of wood with iron banding. This spell an be used as a free action. Shields grant +1 AC versus melee, and +2 AC versus ranged attacks.

 

So what is this spell good for? Defending oneself.
